I hate it when people do a “get this look for less” from some terrible wannabes like Steve Madden…because frankly, the girls in the real deal know you’re just a faker. Pathetic. We make fun of your elmer’s glued on glitter shoes right after you walk by. Steve Madden is no Miu Miu. And those two-tone shoes are Zara, not Celine. We make fun of you because you’re a climber. A wanna be. Yes it’s sad that not everyone can afford the real deal, but darling, I can’t afford time on a private jet (yet) but that doesn’t mean I should go ride about on some crop duster in Kansas and pretend I’m awesome on facebook. Tsk tsk. Work harder or shop better.
Phew. B!tchy rant aside, this is my point.
Charlize Theron JUST wore this fabulously flattering Antonio Berardi dress on Late Night with yadeyada blah blah.

If you’re not a size 4 or 8 (which you shouldn’t be if you actually want to look like Charlize in that dress…) get to your very very VERY best tailor to put in about $100 worth of work to make it into a 4. Remember you can ALWAYS go down 2 sizes without major re-hauling. And while it is NOT the mirror image of Charlize Theron’s its like when Chanel issues out a few versions of the Byzantine iconic jacket - still very very suitable substitutes amongst peers.
